Bei den Diskussionen um die Abgabemodalitäten kommt ein entscheidender Aspekt zu kurz: Die Zukunft der Versorgung schwerkranker Patient:innen mit medizinischem Cannabis. Gemeinsam möchten wir vor diesem Hintergrund diskutieren, wie die Versorgung mit medizinischem Cannabis in Zukunft aussehen muss.

Um für den Anbau geeignete Pflanzen auswählen und vermehren zu können, werden verschiedene Forschungsvorhaben geplant. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel zielgerichtete Anbauversuche mit importiertem Pflanzenmaterial, um die Einhaltung pharmakologischer Parameter auch in großem Produktionsmaßstab sicherzustellen. Eine weitere essenzielle Frage ist, wie sich Umweltbedingungen auf die medizinische Wirksamkeit auswirken. Darüber und über weiteren evidenzbasierten modernen Therapien referiert Dr. Adrian Fischer.

G-BA Beschluss: Dunkle Aussichten für Cannabis-Patient:innen?

G-BA decision: dark prospects for cannabis patients?

„Es besteht die Gefahr, dass schon bald wieder viele schwerstkranke Patient: innen in den Schwarzmarkt zurück gezwungen werden“ – mit diesen Worten haben vor einigen Wochen mehrere Fachverbände von Patienten, Ärzten, Apothekern und Herstellern von medizinischem Cannabis auf einen Richtlinienentwurf des Gemeinsamen Bundesausschusses (G-BA) zum zukünftigen Umgang mit Cannabis als Medizin reagiert.  Ihr Vorwurf: Der G-BA beabsichtige, mit seinem Entwurf Cannabis-Blüten nicht länger als Arzneimittel anzuerkennen und zu bezahlen. Die Produkte sollten nur noch in Ausnahmefällen genehmigt werden. Vor allem für Kassenpatienten würde der Zugang zu cannabisbasierten Medikamenten deutlich eingeschränkt. Frau Dr. Neubaur berichtet über die aktuelle Situation.  Moderation durch Mirta Rostas
